: Amazon Echo is the best present from Amazon Company. You can do fun with this toy. It has a number of functionalities available, which you will come to know only when you start exploring it. If you have not configured this device on your network yet, then we are going to provide steps in this blog post.
1st step: Check whether you have got everything or not: To start with the installation process, you will need the device itself along with a power adapter. You need a smartphone or tablet to install the app in it. You can use any Android or iOS-based phone.
2nd step: Install Alexa app: All your hardware circuitry and controls will be controlled by Alexa app installed on your device. For this, you need to download the app from the Google play store. If you are using Amazon fire device, then you can download it from Amazon app store.
3rd step: Plug the Echo to the supply: After downloading software, it’s the time to connect hardware. Take Amazon echo in your hand and connect it to the power cable. Now, turn on echo adapter and place echo on some shelf. Connect adapter cable to the Echo and wait until it turns on.
4th step: Wait for device to get initialized: After connecting it to power supply, wait for some seconds so that device gets initialized. You will notice that the blue light will turn to orange after a couple of seconds. Along with this, you will find greetings on screen. Echo will remain on this mode.
5th step: Open Echo app: You need to open the Alexa app on your phone. Once you open the app, you need to go to ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Left’ side of the screen. Click on ‘Setup a new device’ to start the connection process

6th step: Select your device
Now in this step, you need to select the device which you want to configure. Today, a product on which we are discussing is a full-size Amazon echo. If you are using a small product like tap and Dot, then the same instructions can be applied. You don’t need to visit instruction page for right settings. Select your preferred language and right device.
7th step: Connecting Wi-Fi
Tap ‘Connect to Wi-Fi’ from next page to initiate the connection process. You have to go through the guided instructions and check if the device is displaying orange ring or not. If not, then press the ‘action button’ for 5 seconds and enter the device into setup mode. Now, open Alexa app and go to ‘Settings’.\
Go to ‘Wi-Fi’ settings from main settings. Switch on ‘Wi-Fi’ if not on and then locate echo device in the list. A word with ‘Amazon’ will be displayed on your echo device. You need to exit settings after successfully connecting the echo to network. Click ‘continue’.
You are done: You will find a success message on screen. You can start using your echo device now. If you want to check whether it started working or not, then try with simple commands. Speak wake-up word first. If everything is working normal, then you will hear ‘Hello’ sound back from Alexa.
